This game is pretty good for what it is. Its simplicity lends itself nicely to its casual play.
(#^.^#) Some notes:
❥Platformers are a dime a dozen nowadays, so I would love to see this game's development pushed further design wise. You seem to make a lot of games in this aesthetic (which is fine!), but I'd like to see this particular franchise set itself apart from the rest.
❥ The 'level' was nice. I had fun exploring every inch of it and figuring out the jumps. Personally, I found the skill ceiling a little too easy and mundane for my taste. I would love to see this game progress with harder levels and perhaps some enemies to navigate around. I made about 10.09$ on my first play through, but lost it all when opening the special gate near the end. I did not know this would happen, and thought it would just use a key like all the others. I was wrong. Perhaps for future builds; doors that require money should have a 'coin' or 'monetary sign' on them.
❥My one comment on controls would be to allow players the option of using 'spacebar' to jump/swim. As a pc gamer I naturally hit spacebar to jump in platformers. I got use to using 'W' to jump after awhile, but it was unnatural to me. This is a small easy fix though. Aside from that the only 'cheat' I found was the jump you can make to bypass the 'toll gate', which I figured out on my 2nd playthrough.
❥The music does not loop properly, and got daunting after a while of playing (I really wish I could turn it off or adjust the volume). I ended up having to mute the window tab, and decided to play something a bit more calmer (City Gril on youtube). I realized the calmer music made playing this game a lot more fun, especially since the background is a twinkling night sky. The character even look like they're 'bouncing to the music' while idle(*´▽`*)
